About Me
Mohamed-Ayoub Benjelloun
Digital Transformation Specialist | IT Program & Project Manager (PMP®) | Leading Global Teams in Agile, DevOps, Cloud, Data & AI Transformations | Bilingual (English & French) | Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Digital Transformation Specialist with 16+ years of experience delivering complex, large-scale programs across North America, Europe, MEA, and the GCC. 10+ years leading and coaching distributed teams, driving Agile portfolio/program/project delivery, and enabling DevOps, Cloud, Data, and AI adoption.
I help organizations move from ideas to shipped outcomes by aligning stakeholders, building clear delivery plans, and leading cross-functional teams to execute with speed and quality.
I’m often brought in when things are high-stakes: tight deadlines, multiple teams, unclear scope, or delivery that’s stuck. I bring structure, calm leadership, and strong communication while staying close to the technical reality (architecture, APIs, DevOps, data, and security) so decisions are practical and risks are managed early.
If you’re looking for someone who can own delivery end-to-end, accelerate execution, and keep everyone aligned (from executives to engineers), I’d love to connect. Please feel free to reach out and tell me what you’re building; I’ll respond quickly and suggest the next best step.
I'm Billingual (English, French). Based in Toronto (Ontario), Canada.

Use Case Launching a Digital Consulting Practice from scratch. Client IBM CIC Provider IBM Location Morocco Context In 2019, IBM CIC Morocco’s delivery organization had two service lines (SAP and Data & Analytics). I was mandated to create a third one from scratch: iX & Digital Strategy, to address the growing demand for digital product delivery, experience design, and cloud-native engineering across IBM’s global client base. I defined the local positioning and operating model, then built and led a multidisciplinary team of ~30 (engineering, DevOps, UI/UX, QA, delivery/Agile roles), with a strong focus on quality, repeatability, and alignment with IBM standards. Beyond delivery leadership, I acted as the bridge between market demand and execution: partnering with sales/procurement/leadership on RFPs, SoWs, estimates, quotes, market analyses and PoCs, while continuously upskilling the team through OKR-based learning paths and Agile/DevOps enablement (CI/CD, cloud-native practices). This approach connected Morocco-based talent to worldwide IBM programs and supported enterprise clients across multiple geographies, including Air Canada, ExxonMobil, SAAQ, BP, BNP Paribas, Yara, DarkMatter, OCP, UM6P, Attijariwafa Bank, the Ministry of Health, and IBM P-Tech. Size +30 FTE Start date 2019-03-19 12:00 End date 2025-09-16 12:00 Duration 80 Months Role Service Line Manager Responsibilities • Business Development & Contracting: Partnered with sales, procurement and leadership teams to craft RFP responses, draft SoWs, prepare client Quotes, contribute to Contracts redactions, shape Market Analyses, provide delivery Effort Estimations and build Proofs of Concept, ensuring alignment between delivery capabilities, client expectations, and IBM standards.
• Strategic Workforce Leadership: Recruited and managed Frontend, Developers, Full-Stack, Mobile and DevOps engineers, UI/UX designers, QA testers, Scrum Masters, Project Managers, Agile Coaches and Business Analysts, scaling a full-stack delivery team from the ground up.
• Technology Intelligence & Road-mapping: Conducted continuous market scanning to align service offerings and skill portfolios with evolving digital-strategy demand.
• Talent Development: Crafted individual learning paths tied to quarterly OKRs, boosting capability maturity and billable utilization.
• Agile & DevOps Enablement: Coached teams on Agile, CI/CD, and cloud-native best practices, driving delivery excellence and a culture of continuous improvement.

Use Case Continuously re-skilling a dynamic pool of available resources. Client IBM CIC Provider IBM Location Morocco Context I was tasked by IBM to actively manage the “bench” population—resources coming off assignments—so they wouldn’t remain idle while waiting for their next onboarding. To solve this, I founded and led the Phoenix Initiative, a structured internal program that turned bench time into a measurable investment: resources were coached and reskilled into new roles and technologies while contributing to the delivery of real internal products and resolving recurring pain points across teams. I built the program’s operating model end-to-end (vision, team structure, ceremonies, processes, and tooling), implemented a KPI/reporting layer to track progress and risks, and mentored 50+ participants through hands-on product development. I also drove JIRA adoption as a single source of truth for execution and reporting, and contributed to solution design and architecture reviews across a modern stack (backend, frontend, mobile, data, and cloud), ensuring the initiative could scale and run autonomously over time. Size +50 FTE Start date 2024-01-01 12:00 End date 2024-12-31 12:00 Duration 12 Months Role Agile Program Manager Responsibilities • Program Design & Leadership: Established the initiative’s vision, teams, roles, ceremonies, processes, and tooling, ensuring long-term autonomy and scalability.
• KPI & Reporting Framework: Defined performance indicators and reporting layers to track risks, gaps, and activity, giving initiative members actionable insights.
• Coaching & Knowledge Sharing: Mentored 50+ resources, promoted collaboration, and built a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
• JIRA Champion: Accelerated adoption of JIRA as the program’s “Single Source of Truth,” unifying tracking and reporting across diverse roles.
• Solution Design & Architecture: Contributed to products solution designs and conducted architecture reviews leveraging: Python/Django, Java/Springboot, React, Flutter, Next.js, Swift, Kotlin, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Celery, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Nginx, Gunicorn, Tomcat, Git, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, IBM Cloud, HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind, JavaScript, and IBM WatsonX.AI.Achievements Founded and led Phoenix Initiative, an internal program created to coach, upskill, and reskill the dynamic IBM pool of available resources by engaging them in internal product development and pain-point resolution, enabling teams to experiment with new roles and gain maturity in career transitions.
